- I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- I'm of Brazilian, British, Italian and Portuguese descent, and I hold two passports.
- The first dog I ever had was a Beagle named Duque. I lost him when I was 23 and even now I still dream about him almost every week.
- I lost a small part of my hearing from swimming when I was 12. It happened three more times before I turned 18.
- My first taste of earning money was at 13, when I built my own Tibia game server. My mum shut it down because of the electricity bill at home.
- I improved my English as a teenager by watching tutorials of all kinds. Adobe software, design, coding, whatever I could find.
- At 14 I was making stop-motion and special effects videos in After Effects.
- I was a YouTuber before the word existed, making stupid videos and short films with my friends.
- Learned 3DS Max and modelled my whole apartment in 3D when I was 15.
- I taught my bird to whistle the Flamengo anthem (it's a Brazilian football team). I recorded it and the video has 318,290 views on YouTube so far.
- You might catch me whistling while walking down the street. I'm pretty addicted to it.
For anyone else who loves whistling, I made a Spotify playlist called "Whistle, baby" with the best whistle songs.
- I also run a WhatsApp group called "Whistle Only" and it has over 1,000 members.
- One of my actual talents is being able to "flip off" my middle toe.
- At 17 I moved to the United States by myself to finish high school, without knowing anyone there.
- I used to be a swimmer. My personal best was 23.03 on the 50m freestyle at 17, which is 2.12 seconds off the world record.
- I once gave my little cousin a "Pokémon" that was actually a real duck. My aunt wasn't happy, so it only lasted three weeks in the apartment.
- At 21 I started studying Visual Communication & Marketing at ESPM in Rio.
- During my first year of college I worked at Walt Disney World: Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.
- My first internship was designing decks and building scenography.
- For three years during college I worked as an unpaid Creative Director for the Varsity, designing sports jerseys, cheerleader costumes, raising money through graphic T-shirts, and even designing the mascot, "Jacarito Style." I saw more than one person get a tattoo of it.
- At Grupo Reserva I designed and produced over 200 graphic T-shirts, and I'd spot them on random people in the street and even on famous ones.
- I applied for an unpaid Art Direction internship in college and got rejected. They told me my portfolio "wasn't suitable." Not long after that, the same portfolio got me an Art Director internship at Ogilvy & Mather Brazil, which had been Cannes Lions Agency of the Year the previous year.
- I managed to do two undergraduate theses at the same time, in Design and Advertising. It was rough. I ended up in hospital three times that year from not sleeping enough.
- The day after I got my diploma, I took the first flight to Europe without telling my family or friends. I've been in London since 2016.
- Before I left, I taught my Grandma how to use her phone and WhatsApp. Today she's a pro and sends me audios every day, plus "good morning / good night" and "Jesus blessings" pictures.
- My first job in the UK was as a waiter for a catering agency.
- I once worked an event at Abbey Road Studios as a waiter. Earth, Wind & Fire were the main act. It was awesome.
- While I was waitering I applied to more than 100 jobs online and dropped my CV at over 20 ad agencies in person. I even got kicked out of Y&R by security. I only got one interview and wasn't suitable for the Junior role.
- My first job at a UK ad agency was as a sandwich maker. Yes, really. I got hired to make sandwiches for employees in Geometry Global London's canteen.
- Two weeks later Juan Posada hired me, and I was working at the same agency as a Junior Creative. Ten months in, I'd brought home my first 2 Lions and the first ever Cannes Lions and LIA awards for Geometry Global London.
- In 2017 I listened to 80,744 minutes of music on Spotify. 4,242 different songs, 1,594 artists, 54 genres.
- Beginning of 2018 I got an offer at GTB to work on Ford. Colleagues told me it wouldn't be good for my portfolio to only do car ads. My first projects there, the Noise-Cancelling Kennel and the Lane-Keeping Bed, weren't really car ads. They were featured in Fast Company, Mashable, LadBible and on TV, reaching over 6 billion impressions.
- Spike Lee once talked about a campaign I worked on, live on TV.
- I travelled to 9 countries in 2018.
- I have a thing for McDonald's, almost like a connoisseur, and I try McDonald's in every country I visit. I've now tried it in more than 20 countries and on every continent.
- Won my first D&AD pencil at GTB, also the agency's first ever.
- Helped Ford Europe's YouTube channel hit the Silver Play Button (100,000 subscribers) with the Interventions campaign.
- I travelled to 4 continents in 2019.
- At the start of 2020 I left London to work on the other side of the world at ColensoBBDO, one of my top 3 agencies since college. Two months in, COVID hit Auckland and everything shut down. Then the agency announced 25% redundancies. I was one of them. They offered to relocate me to Australia, but after 5 months in New Zealand I decided to go back to London.
- A month later I got an offer to work on Apple again, this time at TBWA\Media Arts Lab London.
Even though I only worked 6 months at ColensoBBDO, by the end of the year I was named Lürzer's Archive's #1 Art Director in New Zealand for 2020, and a campaign I worked on got a Cannes Lions shortlist.
- I lived on 3 different continents in 2020.
- I started 2021 as a pet sitter, looking after dogs while I worked from home. Since then I've had over 500 bookings and made a lot of furry friends.
- By the end of 2021 I was feeling a bit depressed and a bit overweight, so I decided to train for my first half marathon. Haven't stopped since. I've done the half, four full marathons, a triathlon, a 70.3 Ironman, and a full Ironman in 2024.
- I travelled to 4 continents in 2023.
- One evening I was watching TV by myself and suddenly looked down to find a fox staring at me in the middle of my living room. The next day I left some food outside and it was eaten. This kept happening, so now I'd say I have a pet fox. Her name is Mary and she visits me every day.
- I made a TikTok about Mary and it got over 5.6M views.
- In 2024 I decided to try something different in my advertising career and moved into health advertising. One of my first briefs there won 2 Clios, and the agency's first ever awards.
- Across my UK career I've worked at three agencies that had never won a single advertising award. The campaigns I worked on at all three brought home their first ever, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio and more.
- By the end of 2025, in 37 days, I travelled across 4 continents, 5 countries and 8 time zones.
